It is with sadness that we announce that Tony Unser passed away Wednesday January 25. His memorial service to celebrate his life will be at Balzac United Church 2pm on Saturday January 28. Our prayers and thoughts are with Ruth and her family.

It is also with sadness that we announce that Jack Wight passed away on Sunday afternoon at the Foothills medical centre. A memorial service was held at the Balzac United Church on Friday January 20.
We ask for prayers for Iva and the rest of Jack's family during this difficult time.

The Praise Team is looking for additional members: singers, and instrumentalists (guitars, ukeleles, flutes, horns, recorders, harmonicas, violins, drums, keyboards, etc.). If you think you might be interested, or know of someone who would like to join an informal and fun group to play occasionally for worship services, please see Lee.

Official Board meeting February 7th at 7pm

Balzac will be celebrating the birthday of Lord Baden Powell on Wednesday Feb 18 with a potluck supper at 6:30pm. . He was the founder of the scouting movement . Everyone is invited to bring something for the potluck and celebrate our scout troop. *Please note that one cub has server airborne nut allergies so we are asked not to bring any with nuts in it.

The Adventurers class is in need of several items for our crafts and projects. If you are able to donate any of the following items, it would be a huge blessing to Miss Angela and her merry gang!

Pancake serve from 5:30pm to 6:30pm Cost is by donation.

Annual General Meeting - Sunday, February 26. Immediately following the worship service. Potluck lunch to follow.

Balzac Christmas raffle was Dec. 18, 2011
1st prize : Anne of Green Gables handcrafted porcelain doll 18" was won by Tara White.Tara please contact Nancy Wiggles worth at (403) 420-2821 to collect your prize.
The raffle raised $296 that will go towards youth programs. Pictures of the prizes and more details are on the Sharing page

Ben and Susan are the proud Grandparents of Nathan Emile Ross.
He was born @ 1:03 December 7, 2011, weighing in at 8 lbs 14 oz
He is 20 3/4 inches long. He has all his fingers and his toes and he is beautiful. Family is doing well

Bob & Moya have retired from doing the mass emails.
We wish them well! Angela Wiggelsworth will be handling the mass emails from now on.
