Goals for the Interim Ministry Year
September 15, 2004 – June 15, 2005

1. To provide an intentional time of transition between a long term pastoral relationship and the next pastoral relationship.

2. To make use of this “pause time” to think about where we’ve come from, where we are now, and where we want to go in the future.

3. To provide strong ministerial leadership to work with congregational leaders, so that, after a six month period of instability and decline, the worship life and other aspects of the congregation can continue to thrive.

4. To work on awareness and education about United Church
identity, processes, resources available, and policy.

5. To provide some leadership and/or support for programs of all ages, including adult education.

6. To do some work as a congregation in relation to values, vision,
mission – in preparation for calling a minister by June 30, 2005.

7. To address concerns that have been raised or may be raised, in a way that helps us to look at the congregation as a system.

8. To consider the long-term future of the congregation, given the
change and development happening in the area. This will include
consultation with Foothills and Calgary Presbytery, and discussions with Airdrie and Symons Valley congregations.
